Biography

Choi Hyun-wook originally dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player and trained seriously during his school years. However, after suffering an elbow injury in high school, he had to give up sports and redirected his focus toward acting. He enrolled at Hanlim Multi Art School, majoring in Broadcasting & Entertainment, where he began his journey into the entertainment industry. His debut came in 2019 with the web drama Real:Time:Love, which quickly gained him recognition among younger audiences.

His breakthrough roles came in 2021 with SBS dramas Taxi Driver and Racket Boys, followed by Twenty-Five Twenty-One (2022), where he played Moon Ji-woong, earning him the nickname “Nation’s Boyfriend.” He further showcased his versatility in Weak Hero Class 1 (2022), D.P. 2 (2023), and Twinkling Watermelon (2023). By 2025–2026, he had expanded into films like Mantis and Good News, and upcoming dramas such as Dead-End Job and Portraits of Delusion. His sharp visuals, emotional depth, and youthful energy have made him one of Korea’s fastest-rising actors.
