Damson Idris

Adamson Alade-Bo “Damson” Idris, born on September 2, 1991, in London, England, is a British-Nigerian actor who has rapidly risen to prominence in Hollywood. Raised in Peckham, South East London, Idris grew up in a large Nigerian family of Yoruba descent. Initially passionate about football and rugby, he once dreamed of becoming a professional athlete. His path shifted toward acting after studying Theatre, Film & Television Studies at Brunel University London, where he graduated with honors.

Idris began his career in theater before transitioning to television and film. His breakthrough role came in 2017 when he starred as Franklin Saint in John Singleton’s crime drama Snowfall on FX. The series, which ran for six seasons until 2023, showcased his ability to portray complex, layered characters and earned him critical acclaim.
