Biography

Dana Vernon Ashbrook began his career in the late 1970s with a small role in Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! (1978). He rose to prominence in the late 1980s with appearances in horror and thriller films such as Waxwork (1988) and Return of the Living Dead Part II (1988). His breakthrough came in 1990 when he was cast as Bobby Briggs in David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, a role that made him a cult favorite and defined much of his career. He reprised the role in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992) and again in the revival series in 2017.

Beyond Twin Peaks, Ashbrook built a steady career in both film and television. He appeared in Sleepwalkers (1992), Dawson’s Creek in the late 1990s, and continued to take on diverse roles across genres. More recently, he starred in the sci-fi thriller Minor Premise (2020), proving his adaptability and longevity in Hollywood. His career reflects a balance of cult classics, mainstream TV, and independent projects, making him a versatile figure in American entertainment.
