Darrell Fitzgerald D'Silva grew up in Rotherham and was deeply influenced by his grandparents’ love for cinema. In the 1980s, he was part of the Sheffield music scene, playing saxophone with bands like The Anti-Group and Hula before transitioning to acting. He trained at the Drama Centre London, which laid the foundation for his professional career.
He joined the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in 1996 and has performed in over 40 productions worldwide. His stage credits include Antony and Cleopatra, King Lear, and Doctor Faustus. On screen, he has appeared in BBC dramas like Out of the Blue, the docudrama Krakatoa: The Last Days, and films such as Northmen: A Viking Saga and Wrath of Man.
