Biography

Diganth Manchale grew up in Sagara, Karnataka, in a Havyaka Brahmin family. His father, Krishnamurthy, is a professor, and his mother, Mallika, is a homemaker. He completed his schooling at Seva Bharathi and pre-university at Tunga Mahavidyalaya, Thirthahalli, before graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, Bengaluru. Initially working as a model, he transitioned into acting in 2006 with Miss California.

His breakthrough came with Mungaru Male (2006) and Gaalipata (2008), which established him as a rising star in Kannada cinema. Over the years, he delivered memorable performances in Manasaare (2009), Pancharangi (2010), Lifeu Ishtene (2011), Parijatha (2012), and Katheyondu Shuruvagide (2018). He also made his Bollywood debut with Wedding Pullav (2015). More recently, he starred in Gaalipata 2 (2022), Thimayya & Thimayya (2022), Bachelor Party (2024), and Marigold (2024). His versatility spans romance, comedy, and thrillers, earning him two SIIMA Awards and multiple Filmfare nominations.

Diganth is admired for his charming screen presence and dedication to fitness. He is also known for his adventurous hobbies like cycling, rock climbing, surfing, and diving. Married to actress Aindrita Ray since 2018, the couple is considered one of the most loved pairs in Kannada cinema. Despite facing challenges, including an eye injury during a film shoot, Diganth continues to be a prominent figure in Sandalwood, balancing mainstream success with experimental roles.
