Dileesh Pothan is a highly acclaimed Indian film director, actor, and producer in the Malayalam film industry. Born on 1980-02-19 in Kottayam, Kerala, he is celebrated for his realistic storytelling and nuanced filmmaking style. His directorial debut Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016) won widespread praise, followed by Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017) and Joji (2021), each earning critical acclaim and awards. Known for his ability to blend humor, drama, and social commentary, Pothan has become one of the most respected filmmakers in contemporary Malayalam cinema.

Dileesh Pothan began his career as an assistant director before stepping into acting and later directing.
