Dipanwit Dashmohapatra is an Odia actor and theatre artist, born on 14 August 1994 in Soro, Balasore, Odisha. He is best known for his performances in Odia films and web series, and is considered one of the leading faces of the “New Wave” in Odia cinema.
Dipanwit Dashmohapatra began his artistic journey during his college years, performing with theatre groups such as Toneelstuk, Uttar Purush Theatre Group, and Jeevan Rekha Theatre Group in Bhubaneswar. His passion for acting was nurtured through stage plays, where he honed his craft and developed a reputation for his expressive performances. After completing his degree in Electrical Engineering from ITER, Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University in 2017, he transitioned into cinema, bringing his theatre experience into film acting.
He made his mark in Odia cinema with roles in films like Pratikshya (2022), where he played a young man grappling with family struggles. His performances have been praised for their depth and authenticity, and he has become a prominent figure in the evolving Odia film industry.
