Biography

Dipti Mhatre is a prominent costume designer in the Bollywood film industry, known for her creativity and ability to bring characters to life through wardrobe styling. She began her career assisting in the film Fashion (2008), which gave her exposure to the world of cinematic costume design. Her first major project as a lead designer was Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? (2010). Over the years, she has worked on several high-profile films including Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), The Dirty Picture (2011), OMG: Oh My God! (2012), ABCD: Any Body Can Dance (2013), Force 2 (2016), 200 Halla Ho (2021), and Satyaprem Ki Katha (2023).

Dipti studied Fashion Technology at LS Raheja School of Art, which laid the foundation for her career. She is known for her versatility, designing costumes that range from contemporary urban looks to traditional Indian attire. Directors and producers often seek her expertise due to her ability to blend fashion trends with character authenticity. Beyond films, she has also contributed to Gujarati cinema with Wass...up!
