He comes from a wrestling family—his father, Rocky Johnson, was a professional wrestler, and his maternal grandfather, Peter Maivia, was also a prominent figure in the sport. Johnson initially pursued football and played for the University of Miami, where he won a national championship in 1991. After a brief stint in the Canadian Football League, he transitioned to professional wrestling in 1996, quickly rising to fame in WWE with his charismatic persona, catchphrases, and electrifying performances.
