Emilia Isobel Euphemia Rose Clarke, born on 23 October 1986 in London, England, is an acclaimed English actress best known for her portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s epic fantasy series Game of Thrones (2011–2019). Her performance earned her four Primetime Emmy Award nominations and international fame. Clarke studied acting at the Drama Centre London, graduating in 2009, and made her television debut with a guest role in Doctors the same year. She transitioned to film with Spike Island (2012) and gained recognition in Hollywood with roles such as Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys (2015), Qi’ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), and leading parts in romantic dramas like Me Before You (2016) and Last Christmas (2019).
