Esha Gupta was born on 28 November 1985 in New Delhi, India. She studied at Blue Bells International School, New Delhi, and later pursued a Mass Communication course at Manipal Institute of Communication, Manipal University. After winning Femina Miss India International 2007, she represented India at Miss International 2007. Her striking looks and modeling career paved the way for her entry into Bollywood.
She made her acting debut with Jannat 2 (2012), earning a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Female Debut. She followed it up with films like Raaz 3D (2012), Chakravyuh (2012), Rustom (2016), Commando 2 (2017), and Baadshaho (2017). More recently, she has appeared in web series such as Nakaab and Aashram 3. Known for her glamorous screen presence, Esha is also vocal about fitness, animal rights, and environmental causes.
