Fardeen Khan was born on 8 March 1974 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and is the only son of legendary actor-director Feroz Khan.

He made his Bollywood debut with Prem Aggan (1998), directed by his father, and won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

Before entering films, he trained at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute in Mumbai, honing his craft.

He started a film production company called F. K. Films Private Limited in July 1998.

His cousins include Zayed Khan and Sussanne Khan, while veteran actor Sanjay Khan and filmmaker Akbar Khan are his uncles.

Fardeen Khan is married to Natasha Madhvani, daughter of actress Mumtaz, since December 2005, and they have two children – a son named Azarius and a daughter named Diani.

His other name is sometimes listed as Fardan, though it is not widely used.

After a string of commercial failures, he took a long break from acting following Dulha Mil Gaya (2010) and made his comeback in 2024.
