Geetha Kailasam began her career as a chartered accountant but gradually transitioned into the entertainment industry after marrying Bala Kailasam, son of veteran director K. Balachander. She initially managed the Minbimbangal production banner, auditing financials and later producing commercial films and television projects. Her early contributions were behind the scenes, but her passion for acting eventually brought her to the forefront.
She made her acting debut in Tamil cinema and gained recognition with her role in Sarpatta Parambarai (2021), where she played Rangan’s wife. She later appeared in Netflix’s Navarasa anthology (2021) as Chithrama, earning critical praise. Geetha continues to balance her work as an actress, producer, and theatre artist, with recent projects including Lubber Pandhu (2024) and upcoming films like Happy Raj (2026).
