Hansika began her career as a child artist in television shows like Shaka Laka Boom Boom and Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand.
She appeared in the Bollywood film Koi... Mil Gaya (2003) as a child actor before transitioning into lead roles.
Her debut as a lead actress came with the Telugu film Desamuduru (2007), which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South.
Hansika is fluent in multiple languages, including Hindi, English, and Telugu, which has helped her work across different film industries.
She is actively involved in philanthropic work, supporting causes related to education and healthcare for underprivileged children.

In December 2022, she married businessman Sohael Khaturiya in a traditional ceremony held in Jaipur.
