She later gained fame in Bollywood with songs in films like Johnny Gaddar (2007), Singh Is Kinng (2008), Kismat Konnection (2008), and Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008). Raised in Kanpur, she moved to Birmingham, England, after her father was killed during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Her mother ran a beauty parlour to support the family, and Hard Kaur grew up in Birmingham, where she developed her passion for rap and hip-hop.
