Harisree Ashokan, nicknamed Babu, began his artistic journey as a mimicry performer with the troupe Harisree before moving to Kalabhavan. His talent for humor and timing quickly made him a household name in Malayalam cinema. He made his acting debut in 1986 with Pappan Priyappetta Pappan and has since become synonymous with comedy roles, while also venturing into direction with An International Local Story in 2019.
Born as the sixth of ten children to Kunjappan and Janaki, Ashokan’s early life was rooted in Ernakulam, Kerala.
