Isha Koppikar, born on 19 September 1976 in Mahim, Mumbai, began her career in South Indian cinema in the late 1990s before moving to Bollywood. She made her Tamil debut with Kaadhal Kavithai (1998), which won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut (South). Her Hindi film debut came with Fiza (2000), but she rose to fame with Ram Gopal Varma’s Company (2002), where her performance in the song Khallas earned her immense popularity.
Over the years, she appeared in films like Qayamat: City Under Threat (2003), Girlfriend (2004), Don: The Chase Begins Again (2006), and Ek Vivaah... Aisa Bhi (2008). Apart from films, she has worked in television and endorsed several brands. In 2019, she joined the BJP as a politician. She married hotelier Timmy Narang in 2009, but the couple divorced in 2023. She continues to be active in entertainment and public life.
