Ishita Sharma began her career in theatre and television while still in school, appearing in children’s shows like Shaka Laka Boom Boom. She made her big-screen debut in the English-language film Loins of Punjab Presents (2007), followed by roles in Dil Dosti Etc and Dulha Mil Gaya. Alongside acting, she pursued Kathak dance professionally and continued her academic journey, earning degrees in psychology, literature, and human development.
She later transitioned to television, playing Anjalika Solanki (Anji) in Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and co-hosting Dance India Dance Season 4 with Jay Bhanushali. Beyond entertainment, Ishita is also an entrepreneur and social activist, working on initiatives that empower youth and promote cultural arts. Her multifaceted career reflects her dedication to both performance and social causes.
