Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa began his career as a model before landing his first acting role in Baywatch: Hawaii (1999–2001). He later appeared in Stargate Atlantis (2004–2009), which helped him gain recognition in the sci-fi community. His breakthrough came with HBO’s Game of Thrones (2011), where his portrayal of Khal Drogo made him a global star.
Momoa’s biggest success arrived when he was cast as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), followed by Justice League (2017) and his solo film Aquaman (2018), which grossed over $1 billion worldwide.
