Kamal Haasan, born Parthasarathy Srinivasan on November 7, 1954, is a versatile Indian actor, filmmaker, screenwriter, playback singer, television presenter, social activist, and politician. His illustrious career spans across Tamil cinema, but he has also made significant contributions to Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi films.

Haasan is celebrated as one of the finest actors in Indian cinema. His breakthrough came with the 1975 drama Apoorva Raagangal, where he portrayed a rebellious youth in love with an older woman. His portrayal of a compassionate school teacher in Moondram Pirai (1982) earned him his first National Film Award.

Throughout his career, Haasan has delivered remarkable performances in films like Sagara Sangamam (1983), Swathi Muthyam (1986), Nayakan (1987), Pushpaka Vimana (1987), Hey Ram (2000), and Vishwaroopam (2013).
