Kanupriya Pandit, originally named Kanupriya Shankar, hails from Patna, Bihar. She is the daughter of writer Ushakiran Khan and has been active in theatre and television before transitioning to films. A graduate of Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi, she has built a career that spans acting, directing, and writing.
Her Bollywood debut came with Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), where she played a supporting role alongside Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. She has since appeared in several television shows and continues to be active in the entertainment industry. Married to actor Chetan Pandit, she balances her professional life with her family, including her daughters Kavya and Aadya.
