Kartik Aaryan

Kartik Aaryan, born Kartik Tiwari on 22 November 1990 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, is a popular Indian actor known for his work in Hindi cinema. Raised in a middle-class family, he attended St. Paul’s School and Kiddy’s School in Gwalior before moving to Navi Mumbai to pursue a B.Tech in Biotechnology at DY Patil College. While studying engineering, Kartik secretly nurtured his dream of becoming an actor, attending auditions without informing his family. His big break came in 2011 with Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama, where his long monologue about relationships became iconic and established him as a rising star. Though his early films like Akaash Vani (2013) and Kaanchi (2014) struggled, he found commercial success with Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015) and achieved a major breakthrough with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018). Since then, Kartik has starred in hits like Luka Chuppi, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and Satyaprem Ki Katha, earning recognition as one of Bollywood’s most bankable young actors. He has also appeared in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list and won several awards, including a Filmfare Award.
