Kritika Kamra grew up in a Punjabi Hindu family of doctors and educators. Her father is a doctor and her mother a school principal in Sukhpur, near Ashoknagar, Madhya Pradesh. Due to her family’s relocations, she attended multiple schools before completing her schooling at Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. She made her television debut in Yahaan Ke Hum Sikander (2007) and rose to fame with her portrayal of Arohi in Kitani Mohabbat Hai (2009–2011). She later starred in Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (2011–2013) and Reporters (2015), establishing herself as one of the most popular TV actresses of her generation.
Her transition to films and digital platforms expanded her career. She debuted in Bollywood with Mitron (2018) and earned praise for her role in Anubhav Sinha’s Bheed (2023). On OTT, she appeared in Tandav (2021) and Bambai Meri Jaan (2023), showcasing her versatility across genres. Kritika has won awards such as the Indian Telly Award for Popular Fresh New Face (2009) and continues to be recognized for her expressive performances and elegant screen presence.
