Kuri Prathap, popularly known as “Kuri” Prathap, is an Indian actor and comedian who has established himself in the Kannada film and television industry. Born on August 18, 1977, in Mysore, Karnataka, he completed his schooling at Saint Philomena’s High School and later pursued a diploma from the University of Mysore. He began his acting career with the Kannada film Sixer in 2007 and gradually became recognized for his comic timing and supporting roles in films such as Mylari (2010), Godfather (2012), Brindavana (2013), and Auto Raja (2013). His nickname “Kuri” originated from the popular Udaya TV comedy show Kurigalu Saar Kurigalu, which helped him gain visibility as a television personality.

Beyond films, Prathap has become a household name through his appearances on television shows like Majaa Talkies and the prank show Kuri Bond. He also participated in Bigg Boss Kannada season 7, which further expanded his fan base.
