Manushi Chhillar, born on 1997-05-14 in Rohtak, Haryana, is an Indian actress, model, and social advocate. She rose to global fame after winning Miss World 2017, becoming the sixth Indian to hold the crown after a gap of 17 years. Before entering pageantry, she studied at St. Thomas School, New Delhi, and later pursued MBBS at Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women, Sonipat. Her victory at Miss World was celebrated across India, and she has since transitioned into acting, making her Bollywood debut with Samrat Prithviraj (2022). She has also appeared in The Great Indian Family (2023) and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024).
Beyond her acting career, Manushi is deeply involved in social causes, particularly women’s health and menstrual hygiene, through her initiative Project Shakti. She is admired for her intelligence, elegance, and commitment to social good, balancing her medical background with her career in entertainment. Her parents are Mitra Basu Chhillar (scientist) and Neelam Chhillar (professor of neurochemistry), and she has two siblings, Dalmitra Chhillar and Dewangana Chhillar.
