Popularly known as NTR, he made his film debut in Mana Desam (1949) and went on to act in over 300 films, becoming one of the most celebrated figures in Telugu cinema. He was renowned for his portrayals of mythological characters such as Lord Krishna, Lord Rama, and Lord Vishnu, which earned him immense respect and a devoted fan following.
