Biography

Nigam Bomzan was born on 1 January 1970 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, though he grew up in Darjeeling where he studied at Vidya Vikash Academy. He later graduated from Zakir Hussain College, New Delhi. Initially, he was passionate about still photography and participated in a talent hunt contest in Delhi in 1999. His work caught the attention of filmmaker Kabir Khan, who hired him as an assistant for a war documentary. This opportunity marked his entry into the film industry.

He worked as an assistant cameraman on films like Paap (2003), Rog (2005), and Kabul Express (2006). His debut as a full-fledged cinematographer came with Fox (2008), starring Arjun Rampal. Over the years, Bomzan built a diverse portfolio, handling thrillers, romantic dramas, and comedies. His collaborations with directors like J.P. Dutta (Paltan) and Shreyas Talpade (Poster Boys) further established his reputation. He has expressed interest in venturing into Hollywood, showcasing his ambition to expand beyond Indian cinema.
