Nirup Bhandari is an Indian actor and writer known primarily for his work in the Kannada film industry. Born on August 13, 1984, in Puttur, Karnataka, he grew up in Mysuru after his family moved there. He completed a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering & Technology (VVIET), Mysuru. Before entering the film industry, Nirup worked as an employee at SAP Labs India. Alongside his professional career, he developed an interest in acting and trained under theatre personality Ratan Thakore Grant at the MiSF!T school of acting.
Nirup made his feature-film debut with RangiTaranga (2015), directed by his elder brother Anup Bhandari. The mystery thriller became a major Kannada blockbuster and established Nirup as a promising actor. He subsequently appeared in films such as Rajaratha, Aadi Lakshmi Puraana and Vikrant Rona, in which he played Sanjeev Gambhira alongside Kiccha Sudeepa. His other work includes Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana, while upcoming projects include America America 2 and Sathya - S/O Harishchandra. His collaborations with his brother Anup have been an important part of his career.
