Olivia Jane Cockburn, professionally known as Olivia Wilde, was born on March 10, 1984 in New York City, USA. She is an American actress, filmmaker, and activist with dual citizenship in the United States and Ireland. Wilde began her career in television, appearing in series like Skin (2003), but rose to fame with her role as Dr. Remy “Thirteen” Hadley on the medical drama House (2007–2012). She transitioned to film with performances in Tron: Legacy (2010), Cowboys & Aliens (2011), Her (2013), and The Lazarus Effect (2015). Beyond acting, Wilde has established herself as a director, earning critical acclaim for her debut feature Booksmart (2019), which was praised for its fresh storytelling and won several awards. She followed this with Don’t Worry Darling (2022), further cementing her reputation as a filmmaker. Wilde was married to filmmaker Tao Ruspoli from 2003 to 2011 and later had a long-term relationship with actor Jason Sudeikis, with whom she shares two children.
