Pihu Sand grew up in Mumbai in a family deeply connected to the performing arts. Her father, Paritosh Sand, is a veteran actor, while her mother, Sapna Sand, is a theatre artist. She studied at VIBGYOR High School in Mumbai and later attended Mithibai College, where she pursued graduation. Passionate about acting from a young age, she trained in theatre and developed her skills before entering films.
Her big break came with Fanney Khan (2018), where she portrayed Lata Sharma, a plus-sized teenager aspiring to become a singer. For the role, she gained nearly 20 kilograms to authentically fit the character, earning praise for her dedication. Since then, she has been active in theatre and film projects, building her reputation as a versatile performer.
