Pooja Mohanraj, born on 1992-10-04 in Pondicherry, India, is a dynamic performer who began her theatre journey at the age of ten with Lokadharmi, a renowned theatre group led by Prof. Chandradasan. She trained extensively in both Eastern traditional performance forms and contemporary Western acting techniques, which shaped her unique style. Her film debut came with the Malayalam movie One (2021), and she quickly rose to prominence with impactful roles in Romancham, Neelavelicham, Kaathal – The Core, Aavesham, and Sookshmadarshini.
Beyond acting, Pooja is also a theatre director and educator, deeply committed to the performing arts. She holds a degree in Economics Honours from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, a Master’s in Theatre Arts from the School of Drama and Fine Arts, University of Calicut, and a Professional Diploma in Intercultural Theatre (Acting) from ITI Singapore.
