Pragya Nagra was born in Ambala, Haryana, into a Punjabi family with a strong military background. Her father served in the Indian Armed Forces, which exposed her to different cultures and cities, including Chennai. While pursuing her engineering studies in Delhi, she developed a keen interest in modeling and went on to feature in more than 100 commercials, gaining recognition in the advertising industry.
Her transition into films began with her Tamil debut Varalaru Mukkiyam (2022), where she played Jamuna. She later starred in the Malayalam film Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna (2023) and the Telugu film Laggam (2024). Pragya’s versatility and expressive acting have made her one of the promising young talents in South Indian cinema. She continues to balance her career between films and modeling, building a strong presence in the entertainment industry.
