Preeti Jhangiani, born on 1980-08-18 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is an Indian actress and model who has worked across multiple film industries including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi, Bengali, and Rajasthani cinema. She first gained attention in 1997 through Rajshri Productions’ music album Yeh Hai Prem and the hit video Chui Mui Si Tum Lagti Ho. Her film debut was in the Malayalam movie Mazhavillu (1999), followed by her Hindi debut in Mohabbatein (2000), which earned her the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female.
She went on to star in films such as Thammudu (1999, Telugu), Narasimha Naidu (2001, Telugu), Awara Paagal Deewana (2002), LOC: Kargil (2003), and Aan: Men at Work (2004). Over the years, she has acted in diverse regional films including Omkara (2004, Kannada), Vyah 70 km (2013, Punjabi), Mistake (2013, Bengali), and Taawdo The Sunlight (2017, Rajasthani).
Preeti married actor-director Parvin Dabbas in 2008, and they have two children. She continues to be active in films and social initiatives.
