Priyanka Upendra, born Priyanka Trivedi, is an Indian actress and producer who has built a long career across several Indian film industries. Born in Kolkata, she comes from a Bengali-Uttar Pradesh family background. She spent around ten years of her school life in the United States and approximately three years in Singapore before returning to India and completing a Commerce degree in Kolkata.
Before entering films, Priyanka appeared in television commercials for brands including Britannia, Orient Electric and Pillsbury. She began her film career in the late 1990s and gained recognition through Bengali cinema, particularly with Hothat Brishti (1998). She subsequently worked in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Odia films.
Her Kannada career became particularly significant after films such as Kotigobba, H2O, Malla and Devaki. Over the years, she has taken on both commercial and performance-oriented roles. She has also been credited as a producer.
Priyanka married Kannada actor-director Upendra in 2003. The couple have two children, son Ayush and daughter Aishwarya.
In 2026, Priyanka continues to remain active in Kannada cinema. Her recent work includes the investigative thriller Detective Teekshana, in which she plays the titular character.
