Radha Ravi began his acting career in the late 1970s, following in the footsteps of his father, M. R. Radha. His breakthrough came with roles in films such as Pudhiya Paadhai and Oru Kaidhiyin Diary, where his commanding screen presence and strong dialogue delivery made him a popular choice for antagonist roles. Over the decades, he became one of the most recognizable faces in Tamil cinema, often cast as politicians, landlords, and villains.

Beyond acting, Radha Ravi has also been active in politics, serving as a member of the DMK and later joining other parties. He has held leadership roles in actors’ associations and has been a vocal figure in the Tamil film industry.
