Biography

Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, popularly known as Rahul Banerjee, began his acting journey at the tender age of three with his father Biswanath Banerjee’s theatre troupe, Bijoygarh Atmaprakash. Over the years, he performed in nearly 450 stage shows before transitioning into films. His breakthrough came in 2008 with Chirodini Tumi Je Amar, directed by Raj Chakraborty, where his performance opposite Priyanka Sarkar catapulted him to stardom. He later appeared in films such as Love Circus, Shono Mon Boli Tomay, and Zulfiqar, earning acclaim for his versatility.

Beyond films, Rahul made his mark in Bengali television with shows like Tumi Asbe Bole and Bhole Baba Paar Karega. His career spanned nearly four decades, during which he became a beloved figure in Tollywood. Known for his natural acting style and dedication, Rahul was admired by audiences and peers alike. His untimely demise left a void in the Bengali entertainment industry, but his legacy continues through his memorable performances.
