Her birth name is Neeru Bheda, but she adopted the stage name Rakhi Sawant when entering the entertainment industry.

She made her Bollywood debut with the film Agnichakra (1997), though she later became famous for her item numbers and reality TV appearances.

Rakhi gained massive popularity through her participation in Bigg Boss Season 1 (2006), where her bold personality made her a household name.

She has appeared in more than 30 films across Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, and Tamil cinema.
