Ranbir Kapoor is an Indian actor, singer, producer, and special appearances assistant director. He was born in Bombay, Maharashtra on September 28, 1982. He is the son of actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, and the grandson of actor-director Raj Kapoor. Kapoor is known for his work in Hindi-language films, and is considered one of the most versatile performers in contemporary Bollywood. His debut film was Saawariya in 2007, and he has won six Filmfare Awards, including Best Male Debut for Saawariya and Critics Award for Best Actor for Wake Up Sid in 2009.
Kapoor's other films include Bachna Ae Haseeno, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Barfi!, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Shamshera, and Brahmastra. His next release will be Animal by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, in which he plays a man who is obsessed with his father, played by Anil Kapoor.
