Biography

Rohini Sindhuri Dasari is a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Karnataka cadre, 2009 batch. Born on 1984-05-30 in Rudraksha Pally, Sathupalli, Khammam (present-day Telangana), she is currently serving as Special Secretary to the Government of Karnataka in the MSME and Mines Department.

 

Rohini Sindhuri was born on 1984-05-30 in Rudraksha Pally, Sathupalli, Khammam, Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana). She completed her B.Tech in Chemical Engineering before being selected into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 2009, Karnataka cadre. Her first posting was as Assistant Commissioner in Tumakuru (2011), followed by roles as Commissioner of Urban Development in Tumkur, Director of Rural Development & Panchayat Raj Department, and CEO of Zilla Panchayat, Mandya.

 

Over the years, she has held several key positions including Managing Director of Karnataka Food & Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (2015), Deputy Commissioner of Hassan (2017), and Commissioner of the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowment Department (2021). In October 2023, she assumed office as Special Secretary to the Government of Karnataka, MSME and Mines Department. Known for her strong administrative skills, she has also faced controversies, including disputes with fellow officers, but continues to be recognized as one of the most dynamic IAS officers in Karnataka.
