Rubina Dilaik began her career with Choti Bahu (2008), where her portrayal of Radhika won her immense popularity. She later gained widespread acclaim for her role as Soumya, a transgender woman, in Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki (2016–2020), a performance that broke stereotypes and earned her critical praise.
