Biography
Rukmini Vasanth was born on 1996-12-10 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, into a Kannada family. She studied at Army Public School and Air Force School ASTE in Bengaluru before pursuing higher education at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), London, where she honed her craft in theatre and performance. Her professional acting career began in 2019 with the Kannada film Birbal Trilogy Case 1: Finding Vajramuni, where she played Jahnvi.
Her major breakthrough came with the two-part romantic drama Sapta Saagaradaache Ello (2023), in which she portrayed Priya. The role earned her widespread acclaim and the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress – Kannada. In 2025, she starred in Kantara: Chapter 1, which became her most successful and highest-grossing film to date, solidifying her reputation as a leading actress in South Indian cinema.
