Tandon, was a writer and professor, which gave her an early exposure to literature and performance. Saumya began her career in television with Aisa Des Hai Mera (2006) and made her film debut in Jab We Met (2007), where she played the role of Roop, Kareena Kapoor’s sister.
She rose to fame with her portrayal of Anita Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, a role that made her a household name. Alongside acting, she became a celebrated television host, anchoring shows like Dance India Dance and Entertainment Ki Raat.
