Shahi Kabir is an acclaimed Malayalam screenwriter and director, best known for his gripping thrillers like Joseph (2018) and Nayattu (2021). Born on 1978-09-28 in Alappuzha, Kerala, he transitioned from being a police officer to becoming one of the most respected storytellers in Malayalam cinema.
Shahi Kabir began his career in cinema as an assistant director in Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017). His breakthrough came with the screenplay of Joseph (2018), a medical thriller that won critical acclaim and established him as a powerful voice in Malayalam cinema. He followed this with Nayattu (2021), a socio-political thriller that earned him the National Film Award for Best Screenplay and the Kerala State Film Award for Best Story.
