Shamita Shetty studied at Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics and later pursued interior design at SNDT Women’s University and Central Saint Martins, London. She entered Bollywood with Mohabbatein (2000), where her role as Ishika Dhanrajgir earned her critical acclaim and the IIFA Award for Best Debut. She followed this with films like Zeher, Bewafaa, and Cash, establishing herself as a glamorous presence in Hindi cinema.
After a brief hiatus, Shamita diversified her career by participating in reality shows such as Bigg Boss 3 (2009), Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (2015), and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi (2019). She also appeared in web series like Yo Ke Hua Bro (2017). Alongside acting, she is a professional interior designer and has worked on several projects. Despite being in the limelight, she has chosen to remain unmarried and continues to balance her creative pursuits in acting and design.
