Shilpa Shetty was born on June 8, 1975, and made her Bollywood debut at just 18 years old in Baazigar (1993), alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. 

She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and also holds a black belt in karate, showcasing her diverse talents beyond acting. 

During her school days, she was the captain of her volleyball team, reflecting her athletic side. 

Shilpa Shetty won international fame when she participated in and won the UK reality show Celebrity Big Brother in 2007. 

Her mother, Sunanda Shetty, was a celebrated model in the 1970s and even produced a Bollywood film titled The Desire: A Journey of a Woman. 

Shilpa has been a strong advocate for health and wellness, authoring fitness books and promoting yoga through videos and workshops. 

She received critical acclaim for her role in Phir Milenge (2004), where she portrayed a woman living with AIDS, earning a Filmfare nomination for Best Actress.
