Sindhu Lokanath

Sindhu Lokanath, born Sindhu C.L. on 5 February 1987 in Kodagu (Coorg), Karnataka, is an Indian actress and model best known for her work in Kannada cinema. She grew up in Bangalore in what she describes as a conservative family and pursued academics before entering films, earning a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Reva University. Her acting debut came with a cameo role in Parichaya (2009), but she rose to prominence with her performance as Nandini in Lifeu Ishtene (2011). She further established herself with notable roles in Drama (2012), Case No. 18/9 (2013), and Love in Mandya (2014), which showcased her versatility and earned her recognition among Kannada audiences.

Beyond Kannada cinema, Sindhu has also appeared in Tamil and Telugu films, including Vaada Poda Nanbargal (2011) and Ambar Caterers (2017). She has worked in web series such as Loose Connection (2017), streamed on Netflix, and won the SIIMA Award for Best Short Film Actor (Female) in 2020 for I Am 30!. Alongside acting, she has modeled for several brands and campaigns, balancing her career across multiple creative fields. Married to Shreyas Kodial, she continues to be admired for her dedication, adaptability, and ability to take on diverse roles across cinema and digital platforms.
