Sudev Nair grew up in Mumbai in a service-class family with roots in Palakkad, Kerala. He completed his schooling at Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School in Thane and pursued a B.Tech in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur. Despite securing campus placements, his passion for cinema led him to enroll at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, where he specialized in acting and filmmaking.
His acting debut came with Gulaab Gang (2014), opposite Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla, followed by My Life Partner, which brought him critical acclaim. He went on to star in films like Anarkali (2015), Ezra (2017), Mamangam (2019), and Bheeshma Parvam (2022). He also appeared in Hindi cinema with India’s Most Wanted (2019) and ventured into Telugu films with Tiger Nageswara Rao (2023). Beyond acting, he created India’s first mockumentary web series Not Fit, showcasing his writing and directing skills. In 2024, he married model Amardeep Kaur in Guruvayur, Kerala.
