Sumona Chakravarti, born on 1988-06-24 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is an Indian actress and comedian best known for her work in Hindi television. She began her acting career at the age of 11 with the film Mann (1999), starring Aamir Khan and Manisha Koirala. Her television debut came with Kasamh Se (2006), and she later gained immense popularity with Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (2011), where she played Natasha Kapoor.
Her breakthrough role was in Comedy Nights with Kapil (2013), where she played Manju Sharma, Kapil’s on-screen wife. She continued her successful collaboration with Kapil Sharma in The Kapil Sharma Show (2016–present), becoming a household name. In 2024, she participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 and finished in 7th place. Sumona is admired for her comic timing, versatility, and strong screen presence.
She studied at Jai Hind College, Mumbai, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Raised in Lucknow, she moved to Mumbai with her family in 1997.
