Sunil Reddy

Biography

Sunil Reddy, son of veteran Telugu director A. Kodandarami Reddy, initially worked behind the scenes, presenting films directed or produced by his father, such as Godava (2007) and Kasko (2009), which featured his younger brother Vaibhav Reddy. His entry into acting came later, when director Balaji Tharaneetharan cast him as the antagonist in Seethakaathi (2018) opposite Vijay Sethupathi. Though initially hesitant, Sunil trained in acting classes to refine his skills, marking his formal debut in Tamil cinema.

His breakthrough role was in Nelson Dilipkumar’s Doctor (2021), where he played Mahaali, a character that earned him recognition for his screen presence and comic timing. Since then, he has become a regular in Nelson’s films and is considered a promising supporting actor in Kollywood. His career trajectory reflects a shift from family-backed projects to carving his own identity in the industry.
