Swasika Vijay, professionally known simply as Swasika, is an Indian actress, dancer, model and television presenter who predominantly works in the Malayalam film and television industries. Her real name is Pooja Vijay, and she was born on November 5, 1991, in Keezhillam, Ernakulam, Kerala. She entered the entertainment industry with the Tamil film Vaigai in 2009 and gradually established herself through Malayalam cinema and television. Her breakthrough among television audiences came through shows such as Dhathuputhri and Seetha.
Over the years, Swasika has built a versatile career by taking up characters across films, television serials and other entertainment formats. Her performance in the Malayalam film Vasanthi earned her the Kerala State Film Award for Best Character Actress in 2019.
